Kitty Café LifeKitty Café Life is a cozy café-and-cat-rescue game for iPhone and iPad, made by a family. You run a small old café in Paris or Tokyo, serve your guests, and — one evening — hear a quiet meow outside. There is nothing to sign up for.
How do I get a cat?
Play a good day first: open up, serve your guests, close up in the evening. One evening after a good day a cat meows outside the café. Go out to her, tap her to sit down beside her, give her something to eat and a stroke, and come back the next day — her trust grows a little each time. When she trusts you completely you can invite her in: she walks in through the door and asks for her name.
There are four cats to find. The patient white one watches from the other flowerpot, the kitten hides in a cardboard box until you look in it, and the big orange one is found asleep on the delivery box one morning.
How do I move furniture?
Tap the couch in the row of buttons at the top of the screen. The camera lifts to a plan view of the whole café with nothing in the way. Tap a piece of furniture and drag it anywhere in the room, turn it in quarter turns, pinch to zoom and pan with two fingers. A chair dropped near its table settles square to it, and a piece stays exactly where you put it — through the night and through a restart. The same screen has the wall, floor and awning styles, and the café's name can be changed there too. Tap Done when you are happy.
How do I turn the music down or off?
Tap the gear in the same row of buttons while you play, or on the title screen. Under Music there is a switch and a volume slider; turning the music off keeps every meow, purr and bell. Sound — the meows, the purrs and the little bell — has its own switch. The language (English or Deutsch) is changed in the settings on the title screen.
Where are my saves?
On your device only. Each café is saved on the iPhone or iPad it was started on — up to five cafés per device, so everyone in the house can have their own, each with a card on the title screen. There is no account, no cloud and no sync, and nothing is ever uploaded. A café cannot be moved to another device, but you can always start a new one there. If you delete the app, its cafés go with it.
