Kitty Café LifeKitty Café Life is a game for children and families. It was written for one family and then shared, and it is built on a simple rule: the game does not collect anything about you.
What we collect
Nothing.
Kitty Café Life has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits of any kind. It does not ask for your name, your email address, your location, your contacts, your photos, your microphone or your camera. It never has and there is no switch that turns any of that on.
What the game stores, and where
Your café — its name, its cats, its coins, its story so far — is saved on your device only, inside the app's own storage. So is your choice of language. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
The game reads two ordinary things about its own files: the dates they were created and last changed (so the save-slot screen can order your games), and how much free space the device has (so it can warn you before a save fails). Both are declared in the app's privacy manifest, and both stay inside the app.
If you delete the app, the saved games go with it.
Network
The game does not use the network. It works identically in aeroplane mode.
Children
Kitty Café Life is intended to be safe for young children. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no links out to the web and no advertising, and nothing in it can reach the internet.
Purchases
The version currently on the App Store contains no in-app purchases. Should that change in a later version, this policy will be updated first, and any purchase will sit behind a parental gate.
This website
This site, www.kittycafelife.com, is hosted on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen, Germany) and is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA), which shields it from attacks and makes it faster. Both act on our instructions under data-processing agreements. To deliver a page, Cloudflare and our server necessarily see your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser’s identification string. Our server keeps those in its access log for security and troubleshooting, and for nothing else, and deletes them after 14 days at the latest. Cloudflare processes them in its data centres worldwide, including in the USA; that transfer rests on Cloudflare’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the EU standard contractual clauses. The legal basis for all of this is our legitimate interest in running the site securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). You are under no obligation to provide any data; the site works without it. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from third parties — no fonts, no scripts, no share buttons. The only thing it stores is your choice of language when you use the EN · DE switch: one entry in your browser’s local storage, on your device, written only when you click, and never sent anywhere. Because you ask for it yourself, it needs no consent banner. Safari on iPhone and iPad may show a banner for the game at the top of the page; that is a Safari feature that talks to Apple’s App Store, not to us. We do not track you, so “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals change nothing — there is nothing to switch off. Links to the App Store and to the sources named on the credits page lead to other companies with privacy policies of their own.
If you write to us, we keep your email for as long as it takes to answer and to look up what was agreed (Art. 6 (1) b and f GDPR), and delete it afterwards.
You have the right to ask what data about you we hold, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to receive the data you gave us in a portable format. For any of that, write to kittycafelife@pall.as. You can also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority: the one responsible for us is Portugal’s Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD, Lisbon, cnpd.pt), and you may equally turn to the authority of the country you live in.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new “last updated” date.
